CanadaMark - Design Competition

Who doesn't love entering competitions right? We were asked to collaborate with Jewellery retailer Serendipity Diamonds on a design competition for CanadaMark Fair-trade diamonds with a view to:

"participants marrying a CanadaMark diamond with a beautifully designed setting"

with winners being announced in February at JCK Las Vegas. We collaborated with Director Mark Johnson to agree the design and produce a range of stunning 3D images to to enhance the application. The ring is soon to be featured for sale on Serendipity's website.

Design Overview

Our competition entry innovates with a single Marquise cut diamond held within solitaire ring design.

Elegant fluid shoulders embrace the 0.76cts CanadaMark diamond symbolising the flowing waters of Canada’s Lac de Gras that surrounds the mine from where the diamond originated.

Our design benefits the wearer with unique styling, – a deviation from traditional design, with the diamond positioned diagonally across the finger. Crafted in responsibly sourced 950 Platinum.

Design Details

Flowing shoulders accentuate the shape of the Marquise cut diamond. The simplicity of our design is balanced with practical styling – with an under-bezel to secure the diamond above a comfortable court profile band. We chose 950 Platinum for added luxury – complementing the exceptional (E) colour whiteness of the diamond.
